Longtime Listener is a new Australian record label established by Nick Pontikos, ex-Head of A&R at Inertia.
Musically broad, the label is dedicated to presenting great records by quality artists from around the world, and recognises there can be no good times without good tunes.
Distribution is handled by Inertia in Australia and by Rhythmethod in New Zealand. Promotion and publicity is handled by Remote Control.
Pontikos helped build Inertia through years of sharp growth, developing the company's two inhouse imprints, Inertia Recordings and Rogue Records, signing local artists including The Cops and Ben Lee (a multi-platinum success), and licensing international releases from artists such as CocoRosie, Caribou, Lambchop, Daniel Johnston and The Hold Steady. In a previous lifetime, Pontikos worked as A&R Manager at Mushroom Records.
