Having spent years resisting the temptation, Remote Control set up Dot Dash in mid 2004 as a new label for Australian artists.

Dot Dash is a collaboration between the two companies - Remote Control provides publicity, marketing and label management while Inertia looks after distribution and sales.

The label works exclusively with Australian artists, at a time when a surge of new acts and new music fans are emerging on the scene.

Young and Restless's self-titled album - Released 14 July 2007. Young and Restless play with an intensity that needs to be experienced. The band’s blink and you’ll miss ‘em pop songs are played with a ferocity intent on waking the entire neighbourhood. Out front singer Karina Utomo effortlessly and unintentionally smashes every stereotype you may still be unconsciously clinging on to. This is a woman with something to say and a voice to say it with.

New Buffalo's new album Somewhere, anywhere. - Released 24 March 2007. New Buffalo is Melbourne singer-songwriter Sally Seltmann. Sally already has an international profile, with Uncut magazine describing her work as "pretty much perfect" and NME raving about her "sparkling pop soundscapes". The songs on Somewhere, anywhere. were written on a century-old piano by the sea, and convey a newfound directness to her music that is as frank as it is beguiling.

Deloris's new album Ten Lives - Released 28 November 2006. Ten Lives is a departure album for Deloris. From an acclaimed but considered song craft style, to the muscular, epic and free-wheeling indie-rock spectacle they’ve long hinted at. Where their previous release, Fake Our Deaths, was a dreamy wander through the trees, Ten Lives is the trees being flattened in order to look around. Where there were calm and studious arrangements, there is now unbridled joy.

Snowman's self-titled album - Released 23 September 2006. Snowman began playing live in Perth and soon developed a cult following. Since stumbling upon each other at school they have toured nationally with the likes of Interpol, The Liars and Wolfmother, as well as playing many dingy bars all on their lonesome. Their sound is strange, beautiful, jagged, swampy, hypnotic, abstract, punk rock, ambient, loud and quiet.

Wolf & Cub's Vessels - Released 2 September 2006. Out of Adelaide, Wolf & Cub have described their music as a "walking contradiction", which might account for their music drawing comparisons to the Fall, the Birthday Party and the Happy Mondays. Vessels received great reviews and was a Triple J feature album.

Ned Collette's Jokes & Trials - Released 25 July 2006. Ned Collette’s musical history to date draws on a broad sound pallet: an honours degree in modern composition, works for string quartets, various electro-concrete pieces and playing in a variety of loose fit outfits whilst focusing his talents in City City City. Live, Ned has developed a unique technique of using guitar loops and delays on stage, building percussive and melodic layers, over which he presents his songs.

Nightstick's self-titled debut EP - Released August 02 2004. Conceived in a Brisbane carpark in early 2003 by former ping-pong adversaries Martin Lee (ex-Regurgitator) and Heinz Riegler (ex-Not From There), Nightstick immediately cracked Triple J's playlist, performed at the 2004 Big Day Out, and set about releasing their five-track EP. With Full Fathom Five's Tam Patton completing the three-piece, Nightstick's urgent, direct and electric music make them one of the most exciting live bands in the country.
