Following the critically acclaimed West Coast album, ‘Yearbook 2’ is the collection of STUDIO’s celebrated balearic-dub-disco remixes of KYLIE et al, avail. on CD for the first time.
Studio critically acclaimed ‘West Coast’ (#INFCD2) album made many ‘Top Albums of 07’ lists. This CD includes, hypnotic club trip versions of “Brown Piano” by U.K prog-rockers A MOUNTAIN OF ONE & “Turn the Radio Off” by Swedish indie-rockers LOVE IS ALL, sits in perfect harmony with a balearic dub-house-disco re-envisioning of “2 Hearts” by Australia’s pop queen KYLIE MINOGUE. Brilliant remixes of California’s Rubies & Sweden’s SHOUT OUT LOUDS sit side by side with a cosmic take on WILLIAMS’ “Love On A Real Train” (itself a cover of Tangerine Dream’s classic composition from the soundtrack of 80s film, ‘Risky Business’).
‘Yearbook 2’ further establishes Studio as a hidden engineering room somewhere not far away from DAVID MANCUSO’s LOFT, NASSAU’s COMPASS POINT, Manchester’s HACIENDA and HARVEY´s LOVE HOTEL.
