The third installment of Lot49’s much lauded ‘Presents...’ compilation series, this time enlisting the indomitable talents of the legendary Lee Combs. Previous DJs to have the honour include ELITE FORCE and MEAT KATIE.
Coombs has been one of the forces that helped shape the sound of Breakbeat and later Tech Funk, whilst bringing a multitude of other influences to his production and DJ sets.
After his own Thrust Recordings was forced to fold Coombs signed to tech-funk
touchstone lot49. Since relocating to the USA, he’s found himself a regular fixture at Nevada’s Burning Man Festival, a one-of-a-kind desert rave.
For this compilation Coombs has pulled out all the stops, digging deep into a treasure trove of breaks, house and techno and pulling out pure gold.
Offerings from TIGA’s TURBO label sit alongside productions from German wunderkind OLIVER HUNTEMAN and rough breaks and bass from Australia’s DOPAMINE.
