Perhaps the ultimate stoner rock band, SLEEP influenced much of the metal in the

90’s + present.
‘Dopesmoker’ has been hailed as an underground ‘stoner rock’ classic from music critics around the world.

Taking almost 2 years to complete & investing a lot of their major label advance into the production, the result was a 63 minute song that left the managers at London Records dismayed and as a result the band were dropped. ‘Dopesmoker’ did not see the light of day until 2003, when Tee Pee Records resurrected the beast and gave it an official release on CD + LP.
