ROCK
Upon first glance at its gruesome exterior, Dead Child appears to be a new creation. However, its jagged roots extend deep into the past, with a history that holds almost a century of collective experience. It all began when, as youngsters growing up in Louisville, KY during the 70s and 80s, the evil riffs of the heaviest bands were like voices beckoning them to a darker side!
Formed in 2005 by David Pajo of Slint, Louisville’s Dead Child capture the sound and fury of classic metal. By fusing together the rumbling doom of Black Sabbath with the speed and vocal acrobatics of Judas Priest, Dead Child create music that captures the sound and feel of classic heavy metal without irony. Along with Pajo are guitarist Michael McMahan and bassist Todd Cook, both of whom played with Pajo during the 2005 Slint reunion.
