In 2007, Scottish three-piece BIFFY CLYRO exploded onto the UK radar with their number one album ‘Puzzle’. The album delivered three hit songs and attracted coveted festival slots (with unashamedly rock ‘n roll helicopter rides between them) and tour supports of little known bands such as THE WHO, ROLLING STONES and MUSE. The band also toured Australia this year, playing to yet another host of devoted new fans. Unbeknown to those hordes of new disciples was that 2007’s ‘Puzzle’ was not the band’s beginning, not by a long shot. As the legions of
longtime and ever-loyal fans (‘Mon The Biffy!’ is a well known chant among Biffy fans) will testify, Biffy Clyro have been a prolific and exciting force since the late 1990s. After a spectacular live show at T in the Park in 2000, the band was swiftly asked to sign to BEGGARS BANQUET.
