Parades

INDIE
‘Parades’ is the highly anticipated second album by Denmark’s EFTERKLANG, the follow up to their underground hit of 2004, ‘Tripper’.
Comprising 11 majestic, otherworldly pop songs, Parades manages to be both magnificently ambitious and engagingly intimate; a breathtaking panorama of sound with few clear antecedents. DARREN ALLISON (who worked on MY BLOODY VALENTINE’s ‘Loveless’, and ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’ by SPIRITUALIZED) mixed the album on analogue equipment.
The reviews already in on this is gushing! DROWNED IN SOUND “10/10. This is their Dark Side Of The Moon, their OK Computer; it’s the album Björk wishes she’d conjured in her mind when realising Vespertine, full of mystery and long-term intrigue.” …..THE MILK FACTORY “5/5.… quite simply, a masterpiece.” ... MOJO “4/5. Dazzling second album by the Danish five piece, augmented by strings, brass and three choirs! Every so often an album comes along that’s so original it’s difficult to accurately liken it to anything else – even Efterklang’s last album, Tripper, is left behind by Parades.” ... UNCUT “4/5. The full 11-course banquet of cosmic orchestral Post Rock….more organic than their 2004 debut, Parades is just as richly rewarding” ... ROCK-A-ROLLA “An album to blow minds and warm hearts” ... THE WIRE “…something gloriously endearing.”
