Emma Pollock spent a decade in the critically acclaimed, Mercury Music Prize-nominated band The Delgados who were hailed as one of most influential bands of their time. The Delgados formed in Scotland back in 1994 and were a firm favourite of the legendary John Peel, recording more than ten live sessions for his landmark Radio 1 show.
Now to her debut solo release … Her epic new single ‘Acid Test’ is taken from her debut solo album ‘Watch The Fireworks’. Emma’s work is produced by Victor Van Vugt (Nick Cave, PJ Harvey and Beth Orton), and mixed by Grammy-nominated Jeremy Wheatley, (Razorlight and Corinne Bailey Rae). Hook-laden and instantaneous with a full-throttle delivery, the ‘Acid Test’ is heartfelt track which sets raw lyrics against a vibrant array of electric guitars. The bonus cut “A Temporary Fix” is exclusive to the single.
