CHOW CHOW’s debut album showcases an immense potential from a unique band. Having totally absorbed their influences, Chow Chow demonstrate a knowledge and a level of creativity which very few others achieve right now. They’re musically adventurous and operate outside of the space so many are in at the moment.
From the driving ‘Skelton With Hair’ to the rolling, ragged glory of ‘Bright ‘Lights’ and to the monumental ‘Metallica (Early)’ and ending with the epic ‘Sit Down Synth’, Chow Chow encapsulate an unpretentious, exciting sound.
Chow Chow is the result of the coming together of three unique individuals – IAIN (vocals/guitar/electronics), STU (bass/vocals/electronics) and NATHAN (drums/vocals), “Colours And Lines” was recorded in London with producer GARETH PARTON (GO TEAM, PIPETTES)
Iain was born in Wales and fled to Canada when he was young. Stu is met Iain at high school there. When, as Stu puts it, he was ‘dancing like MC Hammer in our high school cafeteria’. Drummer Nathan came over from New Zealand. Chow Chow have recently toured with !!! CHK CHK CHK and APPLES IN STEREO and will be making appearances at WIRELESS & READING FESTIVALS. Supported by the servicing of the 1st single “Dear Francis” to radio & the video to all stations.
